Car with a Park Bench Spoiler - Budget Mod

The only thing this guy got right about his Car with a Park Bench Spoiler is the shape. Everything else about this is wrong in every way if you are particular about the performance of your car. With this Park Bench Spoiler you are more likely to get their eventually, in a leasurly fashion doing 0-60 whenever. Or maybe he just wanted to have the ability to pull over any time, enjoy the view and smell the roses. Or watch the sunset, or feed the ducks, or take a nap, the list goes on.

"End Times" Car - Less Art, More Armor

Only I can go from fashion week to mad max in one post but this Mad Max Bad Boy is freaking awesome. Some say we are living in the "end times" and if that is the case I want to be driving this around town when I go shopping for my $100 loaf of bread at Costco. That 's were I will be getting my $150 gallon of gas, 50 Caliber rounds, propane for my flame thrower, grease for my tank tracks, battery for the CB radio, DW40 for rusty hinges and turtle wax for the paint job. It tends to get a bit scuffed up when the vermin trying to steal my bread bounce of the hood at high speeds. Mad Max eat your heart out, I bet you didn't have bullet proof front wheels like these.

Short Lived Art Car Lives for a Day - Poor Racer

Via Scoop

This Poor-Racer Art Car sculpture will exist for just 24 hours, - from midnight Saturday 14 March to midnight Sunday 15 March. Thats a longer life span than most flies.

The dramatically customised car is typical of Hirschhorn’s low budget transformations, and Poor-Racer has been developed specifically for Christchurch as part of the New Zealand-wide One Day Sculpture series. Hirschhorn says it references the global enthusiasm for car customisation evident in the lowered, louder, brighter and bolder DIY modifications seen parading city streets.

Man Invents Toilet-Shaped Car and a Suitcase Car

Suitcase Car from India
Suitcase Car from India

A man in India not only invents a motorized suitcase but he decided to go the "extra mile" and come up with a motorized toilet. The motorized suitcase weighs about 660 pounds and with a 50 cc engine can reach speeds of up to 25 mph. The production cost is about $2,000 and his goal is to get these baby's mass produced. Its a good idea and you could actually take them with you on long trips and for sort business trips maybe he could make a carry-on version. Now about the toilet car, I can't imagine what the marketing strategy will be to get the word out. I think calling this a "Crappy Car" is actually is a real plus, but hopefully you wont get a "Crappy Deal" at the dealership when you buy one. In some parts of the world he will have make sure its a lo-flo toilet, and that it complies with strict emission standards. Good luck with that!!!

This beauty is the creation of artist Isaac Arvold who painted this parked car in Uptown Minneapolis. In an urban environment this paint job is natures way of saying don't look at the body work to closely. I like the outdoor back sitting arrangement great for summer days but problematic in the winter time. If our buddy owns this you better call "shot gun" and hitch a ride inside rather than deal with the wind chill factor in the back seat. This car would be perfect for Southern California year around, maybe its time for that road trip.

I swear I have seen Cars movie by Disney a billion times with my all time favorite Character Tow Mater the tow truck. For those of you without kids Tow Mater is the lovable character, sidekick and friend to the film's main protagonist, Lightning McQueen. If I have to explain it to you then you have been living under a rock for the past 6 years or don't have kids. Any ways David Emerson is the creator of this life size replicate of Tow Mater out in Portland Oregon and the best part is you can be the hero in your kids life and rent this art car for your kids birthday party, an experience they will never forget.

Bio Diesel Frankenstein Art Car - Lives on French Fry Oil

Womble Truck - Bio Diesel Frankenstein Art Car - Lives on French Fry Oil
Womble Truck - Bio Diesel Frankenstein Art Car - Lives on French Fry Oil

The Womble Truck is a bio diesel Frankenstein art car that lives on french fry oil and may very well be one of Britain's most environmentally friendly cars. It was pieced together in a lab from 21 different cars but is capable of reaching speeds up to 80mph...eventually.

The vehicle was cobbled together from an array of car parts including some from a Sixties Morris 1000, Seventies Mini, a Ford, a Reliant Robin, an MG Midget, a Vauxhall Viva and a Volvo 740. This Frankenstein art car is definitely the poster child for budget mod projects.

It was created by sculptor and environmentalist Buzz Knapp-Fisher, who spent the last six years modifying the automobile into an almost carbon-free mode of transport. He spent about $400 on the car and made some modest and cheap adjustments over the years. Artistically speaking it works because even thought he used all kinds of car parts he managed to stay on one side of the color spectrum.

The Womble Truck started out as a gas car but he eventually was converted to run on bio diesel and now runs entirely on french fry oil. It can run on regular diesel and only does so if its too cold to start with bio diesel first. As you can imagine his gas bill is way low. Nice work Buzz and good luck on your next project with the electric car.
